I can make these in several different sizes, from 10" to 14", but if you need a different size than the ones I have listed, just send me a message, and I'll customize it to fit your needs.
the "length" refers to the distance from the back of the hanger to the "hanging point" of the hook, so the total length will be an additional 1/2 inch or so longer, to accommodate the decorative finial.
Hand forged from steel, these are meant to last, and can hold a surprising amount of weight, I always strive to design my hooks to maximize strength while maintaining a lighter, and more airy style, so I think you will find these are much heavier duty than they appear, this particular design will easily accommodate over 50 pounds of weight!
All of my items are hand forged by me when you order them, so it will take me 1 to 2 weeks to get your order shipped out, and since each item is custom made after you place the order, be sure to let me know if there are any customizations or changes you want included with your items when you place your order.

All of my hooks are made from low carbon steel, which has the possibility of rusting, but I have a couple of different finish options in order to protect your items for years of use. The traditional blacksmiths finish is to apply a layer of beeswax on the metal when it's still hot which creates a tough water resistant matte finish that will work very well on all indoor items, or in protected outdoor areas with care. However for higher moisture environments and for direct sun outdoor exposure, I can apply a heavy duty outdoor polyurethane coating, which is much more rust resistant.
Remember though, that any finish is going to wear off eventually, so if you do start noticing rust developing then you can buff it out with steel wool or a wire brush, and then apply a paste wax to renew the finish.
