Fencing

Fencing – Collection FAQs

1. What types of fencing components are included in this collection?
This collection includes wrought-iron fence panels, pickets, posts, gates, brackets, decorative elements, and hardware designed for perimeter fencing, garden enclosures, equestrian properties, and architectural accent projects.

2. How are your fencing components different from standard hardware-store fencing?
Old West Iron fencing is made from thicker steel with heavier construction, stronger welds, and hand-finished textures. Unlike lightweight tubular imports, our pieces offer true durability, historic styling, and long-term structural integrity.

3. How do I choose the right fencing or gate components?
Start by measuring your desired fence height and layout. Select picket thickness, panel style, and post size that match your security and design needs. For gates, choose hardware rated for the gate’s weight and ensure posts are properly anchored.

4. What finishes and textures are available?
Fencing components come in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and hand-distressed rustic finishes. Hammered, peened, or antique textures are applied in-house to coordinate with our handrails, brackets, and exterior ironwork.

5. Are your fencing pieces hand-forged?
Many components—pickets, decorative elements, finials, and joints—are hand-forged or hand-textured by our American blacksmiths. Structural pieces may be precision-cut or welded, then finished by hand for authentic wrought-iron character.

6. What are the lead times and where are these products made?
Most fencing components ship within 1–10 business days, depending on style, size, and finish. All decorative and custom-finished fencing is made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.
