Old West Iron bases and caps are made from thicker steel with stronger welds, tighter tolerances, and authentic historic styling. Unlike mass-produced brackets, our pieces offer both structural performance and handcrafted character.

The plates and structural components are precisely cut and formed, while textures, edge work, and finishes are hand-applied by our American blacksmiths. Many pieces feature individually worked details for a true wrought-iron appearance.

6. What are the lead times and where are they made?
Most post bases and caps ship within 1–10 business days, depending on finish and size. All decorative and custom-finished pieces are made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.
