Bolts are typically used for fastening items together. Used for both structural and decorative applications. Our square bolts appeal more to a rustic design especially with our texture of hammered or pyramid. These square head bolts add just the flare you need for your project. When purchasing nuts and washers with this item you will want to select the same size as the diameter of the bolt.
We recommend using 3/8" diameter and above for structural applications.

- Raw: Metal is left untreated. Recommended for those wanting to add their own finish.
- Black: The part is painted flat black. We recommend this option for parts that have no texturing done to them and for outdoor use.
- Oil Rubbed Bronze: A wax containing bronze is rubbed on the piece, leaving a bronze color to the high points of the metal where the lows will be black. Recommended for hammered or distressed textured items.
- Pewter: A wax containing pewter is rubbed on the part, leaving the silver-ish pewter color on the highs points of the metal and the lows will be black. Recommended for hammered of distressed textured items.
- Aged Bronze: A wax containing bronze is applied to the piece and then wiped away. This finish leaves the high points of the metal black and the low points a goldish-bronze color. Recommended for hammered or distressed items.
- Aged Pewter: A wax containing pewter is applied to the piece and then wiped away. This finish leaves the high point of the metal black and the low points a silver-ish pewter color. Recommended for hammered or distressed items.
- Rusty Metal Patina: This finish leaves the reddish, orange color of the rust on the low points of the piece. It looks best when selected with a hammered or distressed texture
- Gunmetal: This is an acid finish leaving hints of blues and browns coming through the part. The coloring soaks into the metal making it more scratch resistant (Good for high use items).Not recommended for outdoor use
- Wrought Iron Patina: This is an acid was finish, the blackish coloring will soak into the metal making it more scratch resistant (Good for high usu items). Not recommended for outdoor use

United StatesPurchased a bolt four of them thought they were lags. They were not now being charged a lot of money to return for restocking. Not very happy about that.
I think it’s a really cool product when I purchased it. I thought I was purchasing a lag bolt it wasn’t a lag bolt and now I’m being charged a lot of money for restocking here not very happy about that.

Love the bolts, but should have asked how high the threads went up the shaft for the 6inch size. Wish they would have been the full length, or atleast half-way up; my mistake for not clarifying. But overall, love them! Would definitely buy again

I ordered hammered square head bolts and cap nuts for a project, then needed some rustic washers to make up for my having misunderstood the measurements. The Old West Iron staff were super helpful and arranged for the washers to get to me in time for the installation.

The bolts are beautiful. We did need to leave them in the sun many days to off gas the paint. They did not fit into the 1/2” 8 point socket. Other than that we are very happy with them.

The square plate washers and square head bolts were exactly what I was looking for and perfectly complement the hand hewn barn beam mantle that I installed in our new house. The packing for shipping was pretty abysmal though. Considering that I was very much paying for the 'look' of the product, it was pretty disappointing to find the bolts and washers just thrown in the bottom of a box where they could bang together during transport. There was more than enough paper in the box where the bolts and washers could have been better wrapped to provide at least some protection of the finish.

We bought an old farm pump and one bolt was missing. We stumbled upon this site while looking for old bolts and nuts. We bought the "rusty" finish and it matches our old pump perfectly. We need 2 more so we will be ordering again. It took some time to receive order but that information was clearly stated on their webpage. Well worth the wait.
