Federal iron hinge strap is a classicism of architecture associating with the ancient democracies of Greece and the Republican values of Rome, but mostly influenced by Ancient Roman Architecture which became fashionable after the unearthing of Pompeii and Herculaneum. This design style, also known as Adam Style, which showcases geometrical concepts took form in America post-Revolutionary War 1780-1830 evolving from the Georgian style. The Federal design style is commonly paired with the bald eagle motif. This design is well suited for Colonial, Georgian, Roman, Greek, Early American, and Neo-Classical.
