Round plate washers available from 1" up to 8" diameter for any sized fastener. These washers are suitable for structural and decorative use. Offered in hammered, smooth, and distressed textures these washers will fit any design style and are a wonderful addition to reclaimed lumber. Our beautiful hand painted patina finishes offer the most realistic looking rust without jeopardizing the plate washers integrity. We also offer black, oil rubbed bronze, pewter, antique and more finishes, prefer to match the finish to other hardware your self, order our raw metal washers and have them finished exactly how you want.

Rust and hammered is the perfect way to incorporate new with the old. Old West Iron carriage bolts are every bit as historical as the chestnut antique farmhouse beams. George Washington himself would approve, although he might tell a little white lie the same craftsman made both.

I purchased some nuts and bolts along with 4 washers. The nuts and bolts are exactly what I expected and could not be happier, the washers which apparently had to be made are not even close to the quality of the nuts and bolts. I have more items I will be purchasing from your company but I think I will find some old iron and make my own washers. Thank you for your time with this matter. Regards, Ed Rea

I recently purchased several items from Old West Iron. I appreciate that the products were as advertized, but the best part of my experience was the customer service I received. They were honest, pleasant, and helpful. Having specialty manufacturers to help with vintage restoration projects is great. They must be doing a lot of things right, because the Chinese just sent a spy balloon over them.

Hi. I want to buy some 3/4" shaft, square head lag screws. When I tighten these against some of your decorative washers, how can I make sure the finish isn't scraped off the washers as I tighten them, so I don't end up with circular scrapes on the exposed side of the washer?

I didn't experience this issue with my applicaiton and the finished product looks GREAT. But I do recognize your concern. How tight do you expect to tighten the lag screws? Might this be a concern that could be addressed with a little brown paint and a touch up brush? I do wish you the best, I couldn't be happier with the quality of my Old West Iron products. Bob Thomas

Hello Jeff,
Not everyone experiences an issue with this as it will depend on what finish you order and how tightly you're applying the lags among other factors. If you're concerned about scraping the washers, I would recommend placing a piece of paper, paper towel, or thin fabric that can be torn away over the washer before application. Screw the lag in through the fabric/paper, then tear it away when you're finished. This should leave you with a clean application and no scrapes.
If there is damage to your washer, please reach out to us via our email for a touch up kit.

No, there is an option on the website when ordering these to choose the hole size. If those size's aren't what you need, there is another option to make a custom sized hole.
