Our double door wood fired oven doors are perfect for large openings. These doors are also great for out door living space fireplaces where you need a decorative door that doubles as a storm door. Made from 1/8" mild steel, our double doors are sure to witstand years of use, and our 1" thick insulated option will hold heat even on cold nights. Double door pizza oven doors are available with windows, dampers, thermometers, hammered textures and other customizations.

1. What is the advantage of choosing a double-door pizza oven design?
Double doors allow you to open one side at a time, giving you better control over airflow, heat retention, and access to the oven chamber. They’re ideal for large ovens or for cooks who want easier management of fire and food simultaneously.

2. How are your double-door models different from single-door or lightweight imported versions?
Old West Iron double doors are built from heavy-gauge steel, reinforced at the hinge points, and hand-finished with forged textures. They provide exceptional heat retention and the classic old-world appearance traditional ovens are known for.

3. How do I size a double-door set for my oven opening?
Measure the full width and height of your oven mouth and ensure each door half will cover its side with slight overlap for sealing. Also confirm that you have enough masonry surface on both sides for hinge installation and proper swing clearance.

4. What finish and texture options are available for your double-door sets?
These doors are offered in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and several hand-distressed forged textures. Hammered, peened, and antique finishes are applied in-house to complement rustic, traditional, and European-style ovens.

5. Are the double doors hand-forged or hand-assembled?
The structural panels are precision-cut for alignment, while the handles, hinge details, rivets, vents, and surface textures are individually hand-worked by our American blacksmiths. This blend of accuracy and craftsmanship gives each set true Old World character.

6. What are the expected lead times, and where are these doors made?
Most double pizza oven doors ship within 5-15 business days, depending on size, finish, and configuration. All decorative and custom-finished doors are made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.

ATTENTION: Pizza oven doors with finishes cannot be used at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees. Paint exposed to these high temperatures will burn away, and if you must use this door above the recommended temperature we recommend a raw/unfinished door.

Our warranty only covers doors used within the recommended range; we are not responsible for any damage that occurs  at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees, regardless of finish color.
