Q:
1. We have an existing 7" X 10" glass window, curved at top with 8" X 11" wood trim around the window. Window is curved at top flat on bottom. Dimensions are to the center of the curve. So:Does the trim stay in place? Does the iron door fit over the existing trim around the window, or does it have to be removed? We have an existing iron grid outside the door that I intend to leave in place. 2. What is the flange for? I don't understand it's purpose. Does it go exterior (outside) to the door window? Does the existing iron grid have to be removed? The (?) explains it goes through the door to cover the cutout. I don't understand what "through the door" means unless it is a square flange that would replace my existing grid. The outside side of the door also has wood trim surrounding the glass window.

I apologize for the late response. If you have an arched window, you can send me the template (lisa@oldwestiron.com) or you can send me measurements every 2" across the door parallel to the edge. The trim screws to the door and the door is welded the trim by the hinges. A flange is flat bar to your requested width (the width of your door) that is welded perpendicular to the back of the speakeasy to clean up the opening. No your existing grill does not need to be removed, although, it might be best to remove the trim. The 303 design can not land on the trim it would need to be wider due to the design. Maybe the SD-301 would work better if you wan to install on the trim. Is the trim flat? Please write or call if you have any further questions.
