1. What kind of oven is best suited for an XL arched pizza oven door?
XL arched doors are designed for large masonry, traditional wood-fired, or commercial ovens that feature a tall or wide curved opening. The arched shape helps maintain even heat while complementing the classic brick-oven aesthetic.

2. How are Old West Iron’s XL arched doors different from standard large arched doors?
Our XL models use thicker steel, reinforced inner panels, and hand-forged textures that resist warping under intense heat. They’re insulated, built for longevity, and finished with historical styling that sets them apart from mass-produced doors.

3. How do I measure my oven to ensure the door matches the curve correctly?
Measure the full width of the base of the opening, then measure from the floor of the oven up to the highest point of the arch. If the curve varies or is irregular, take multiple height measurements across the width to ensure a precise fit.

4. What finishing and surface-texture options can I choose for XL arched doors?
These doors are offered in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and hand-distressed forged textures. Hammered, peened, and antique finishes are applied in-house to complement large rustic, Mediterranean, and old-world oven designs.

5. Are XL arched pizza oven doors hand-forged or partially handcrafted?
The main body is precision-cut to match the oven’s curve, while all vents, handles, hinge plates, rivets, and forged surfaces are hand-worked by our American blacksmiths. Each XL door showcases true artisan ironwork.

6. What is the typical production time for XL arched pizza oven doors, and where are they made?
Most XL arched doors ship within 5–15 business days, depending on finish, complexity, and current order volume. Every door is made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.

ATTENTION: Pizza oven doors with finishes cannot be used at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees. Paint exposed to these high temperatures will burn away, and if you must use this door above the recommended temperature we recommend a raw/unfinished door.

Our warranty only covers doors used within the recommended range; we are not responsible for any damage that occurs  at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees, regardless of finish color.
