What is pictured? the wrought iron? or black? All hammered or distressed? ( You guys need more pics, please :) Concealed vs tabbed, all hammered vs distressed, black vs wrought iron.

A:
The first three pictures are black, and the last is wrought iron. The third picture is distressed, and the last picture is all hammered. Concealed is closed on 3 sides, with one open for it to slide on. The tabbed is all open with two tabs usually. All hammered is exactly that, the guys hand hammer the entire piece of metal. Distressed is just a slight hammering with hammered edges. Black is a black matte, and our wrought iron is an acid.

Hi, I just asked a question aabout the CLASSIC IRON JOIST HANGER. I figured out the option issue by looking at some of the other hangers. I want the “Tabbed” version, as the photos show. Thanks. Will order soon.

Q:
Hi,
The “CLASSIC IRON JOIST HANGER” offers two options, “Tabbed” or “Concealed”. What is the difference between these? I’m looking for a hanger that looks like the ones in the photos included on the CLASSIC IRON JOIST HANGER description page. Which version are those? I will eventually need 14 of these hangers.
Thanks,
Bob

Photo shows the tabbed version, with the support “flanges” exposed for more visual appeal. I installed those on my timberframe porch, as I prefer that classic style-they look great.

Q:
I ordered 2 of these joist hangers a few months back, but ordered the wrong size (I ordered them for a beam width of 2" - need 1.5"). My fault but any discount you can provide on the new order would be appreciated. Thanks, Doug 440-796-7495
