Door Stops / Wall Bumpers
Our iron door stoppers are built for homeowners who want more than basic hardware. Each piece is crafted with the durability of solid iron and the character of Old-World design, giving you a door stop that protects your walls and elevates your home’s style. Whether you’re furnishing a historic property or adding a touch of handcrafted charm to a modern room, these stoppers offer a functional upgrade with lasting beauty.
Why Choose an Old West Iron Door Stop
Solid Iron Construction
Every stopper is made from heavy-duty iron for long-term strength and reliability. These aren’t lightweight, disposable parts — they’re hardware designed to outlast your home.
Protective Rubber Bumper
A thick, high-quality rubber tip cushions the point of impact, preventing dents, chips, and marks on your walls, trim, and doors.
Simple Installation Options
Choose hollow-wall anchors or standard screws depending on your surface. Both options make installation fast and secure.
Hand-Finished Craftsmanship
Each door stop is individually textured and hand-painted in your choice of our signature finishes. Because every piece is finished by hand, no two stoppers look exactly alike — a hallmark of true artisan ironwork.
Design Styles for Any Home
Our collection includes four handcrafted styles, each inspired by different architectural traditions:
Renaissance
Refined, classic detailing for homes with traditional or ornate design elements.
Spanish
Warm, rustic curves and Mediterranean character.
Polish
Clean lines and understated elegance for a more contemporary look.
Shabby Chic
Soft, distressed charm with a relaxed, lived-in feel.

Door Stops & Wall Bumpers – Collection FAQ
1. What do door stops and wall bumpers do?
They prevent doors from swinging too far and damaging drywall, trim, cabinets, or hardware. They also reduce noise and minimize stress on hinges over time.
2. How are Old West Iron door stops different from basic store-bought ones?
Mass-produced rubber stoppers wear out quickly and often clash with the rest of your décor. Ours are built from solid steel, hand-textured, and finished to match traditional, rustic, or heritage-style hardware — creating a cohesive, elevated look throughout your home.
3. How do I choose the right size or style?
Consider how far the door swings and the distance between the knob and the wall. Floor-mounted stops are best for wide-swinging or heavy doors. Wall-mounted options suit smaller rooms, lighter doors, or narrow clearances.
4. Which finishes and textures are available?
Door stops can be ordered in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and our full range of artisan-applied patinas. Hammered, distressed, and antique finishes are completed in-house to coordinate perfectly with other Old West Iron hardware.
5. Are your door stops handcrafted?
Yes. While the core components are precision-cut for durability, every visible surface — including textures, plates, and finish work — is hand-applied by our American blacksmiths. You get true Old World craftsmanship in every piece.
6. How quickly do they ship, and where are they made?
Most styles ship within 1–10 business days depending on finish and order size. All decorative elements and custom finishes are crafted or completed in the USA at our Idaho forge.
