Angle Braces, Brackets and Corners
Angle braces, also known as angle brackets, corner brackets, and corner supports, are versatile iron supports used for various applications. These corner brackets can reinforce both the interior and exterior of a corner. Commonly utilized as metal post and beam braces, they serve both decorative and structural purposes.
Our angle brackets are fully customizable in terms of length, width, hole size, texture, and finish. These highly customizable corner braces can be ordered in custom angles to fit any ridge or rafter angle. Additionally, these iron corner braces are excellent for supporting fireplace mantels. Available with any hole size, they can be paired with lags or with bolts and nuts for added versatility. Protect your project with a hand forged corner brace today!
Our Angle Braces come in sizes from 3" x 3" to 14" x 14" and widths from 2" to 8". They are available in each of our signature finish colors and textures. Please contact us via office@oldwestiron.com to request a custom size, style, or finish.
Angle Braces – Collection FAQs
1. What are angle braces used for?
Angle braces are used to reinforce corners, shelves, beams, mantels, tables, gates, and timber-frame joints. They provide both structural support and decorative detailing in rustic, industrial, and heritage-style builds.
2. How are your angle braces different from standard hardware-store brackets?
Old West Iron angle braces are made from thicker steel with cleaner cuts, stronger construction, and hand-finished textures. Unlike thin stamped imports, our braces deliver true strength and the authentic forged look of traditional ironwork.
3. How do I choose the right size angle brace?
Match the brace arm length to the depth or height of the shelf, beam, or corner you’re reinforcing. For load-bearing applications, choose braces with thicker steel or larger profiles. Always confirm hole sizing to match your fasteners.
4. What finishes and textures are available?
Angle braces come in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and hand-distressed finishes. Hammered, peened, and antique textures are applied in-house to match our bolts, straps, and rustic hardware collections.
5. Are your angle braces hand-forged?
The brace bodies are precision-cut and formed for uniform strength, while edges, textures, and finishes are hand-worked by our American blacksmiths. This gives each brace the dimensional, old-world character associated with true wrought iron.
6. What are the lead times and where are they made?
Most angle braces ship within 1–10 business days, depending on size, finish, and customization. All decorative and custom-finished pieces are made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.
