Traditional or standard smooth square head lags, rustic hammered square head lags, and old world pyramid square head lags for decorative and structural projects. These square head lags are available in 1/4" diameter, 5/16" diameter, 3/8" diameter, 1/2" diameter, 5/8" diameter and 3/4" diameter. All of our square head lag screws are offered in all our hand patinaed finishes such as black, gun metal, oil rubbed bronze, pewter, wrought iron, aged bronze and rusty metal patina. Depending on the lag screw diameter the lengths available will range from 3/4" long up to 24" long. All lag screws are measured from the underside of the head to the tip of the screw. The head size of the hammered and pyramid hammered lag screws will slightly vary due to their hand hammered texture.
How It's Made
Our square head lags start with high quality blanks, ensuring that sizing and strength are never compromised, and then heated in the forge by our highly skilled blacksmiths. Once the lags are red-hot and pliable, the smiths apply your chosen texture with one of a selection of specialized tools, depending on the texture.
