Yes, this can be used for single or double doors. There is a tab that sticks out throught the latch that has a hole for the padlock to prefent the latch from lifting and sliding.

Great latch. Couple of questions. In the image of three locks - what finish is the middle lock? Additionally, which hinge location is pictured in all images (hinge on left? or hinge on right?)

The finish on the middle latch is Wrought Iron Black. There isn't necessarily a hinge, these are universal, so they will work on the right or left side of the door.

Hello, I would estimate about 2 weeks. Padlock ready is what is shown in the image. You can use a padlock to lock the latch more securely.
