Hello, The question I have is, is the turnbuckle, eye and hook suitable to be inside my fireplace? I'll use it as an attachment to keep the trap opened and ii will be exposed to quite a bit of heat for 2 to 3 hours. Will this metal release any type of fumes? Thank you

A:
Usually there is a long arm or rod that you can reach in to open or shut the damper. To answer you question, if you choose raw still not there will not be any fumes and yes it will hold up to heat.
