Mantel Straps | Hand Forged Iron U-Straps

Fireplace mantel straps for decorative and structural projects. Your fireplace is probably the second most popular gathering place in your home after the kitchen and is usually the focal point of the room. A fireplace is supposed to be the epitome of “warm and cozy” but sometimes it can look a little naked. Our metal mantel straps can be paired with our decorative washers and clavos, also called decorative nail heads, to create unique one of a kind custom iron straps for your fireplace. These iron mantel straps can be ordered with a return or tabs for mounting a wood mantel in place, alternatively, these iron mantel straps can also be ordered with large holes in the center of the face of the strap for through bolting them in place. All our metal mantel straps can be ordered in custom sizes to fit your exact wood mantle size*, shape and look. Fireplace mantel straps custom made to each order in many design styles. These three sided iron straps are designed to function as decorative and structural pieces and can be customized with a metal ring, hooks and bars for added functionality. Our decorative metal straps for wood beams are a perfect accent to any fireplace mantel.
*Please keep in mind these are hand made items and we allow a tolerance of 1/8"

Old West Iron Completes 300 Year Old Rough Hewn Mantle

Rust and hammered is the perfect way to incorporate new with the old. Old West Iron carriage bolts are every bit as historical as the chestnut antique farmhouse beams. George Washington himself would approve, although he might tell a little white lie the same craftsman made both.
