Early English Gothic Iron Work - 362
Inspired by the ironwork of the crypt door in the Undercroft of Wells Cathedral in Somerset, England, the Early English Gothic Iron Collection brings the solemn beauty and refined craftsmanship of the late 12th to early 13th centuries into the present day. Rooted in the Early English Gothic style, this collection captures the transition from Romanesque simplicity to the more vertical, pointed, and decorated elements of Gothic architecture.
Each piece features restrained ornamentation, pointed arches, and strong vertical lines, with hints of tracery that foreshadow the Decorated Gothic period. Hand-forged in Idaho, these iron work designs offer quiet grandeur and sacred elegance—perfect for historic restorations, cathedral-inspired spaces, or any project seeking authentic medieval craftsmanship.
Made with traditional blacksmithing methods, the Early English Gothic Iron Collection honors one of the earliest and most influential phases of Gothic design—steeped in history, built to endure.
