Rust and hammered is the perfect way to incorporate new with the old. Old West Iron carriage bolts are every bit as historical as the chestnut antique farmhouse beams. George Washington himself would approve, although he might tell a little white lie the same craftsman made both.

I have built numerous historical (replicas) wood project for many years using traditional wood working tools and was always on the lookout for affordable square headed bolts and lags. Old West has them at affordable prices and almost limitless size selections. They are exactly the same as the originals manufactured up to WW ll.
