A custom hinged door is built to match your oven’s exact opening and design requirements. This ensures a precise fit, proper sealing, and smooth hinge placement that aligns perfectly with your masonry or metal surround.

2. Why choose an Old West Iron custom hinged door instead of a pre-made option?
Our custom doors are made from heavy-gauge steel, insulated for improved heat control, and finished with forged textures and hand-worked details. Unlike mass-produced doors, each piece is built to your measurements for a perfect fit and authentic Old World character.

3. How should I measure my oven to order a custom hinged door?
Measure the full width and height of your oven opening, noting any arch, taper, or uneven stonework. Also ensure you have enough solid surface on the left or right side to mount the hinge plates securely.

4. What finishes and textures can be applied to a custom hinged door?
Custom doors can be ordered in matte black, natural iron, oil-rubbed bronze, and a range of hand-distressed options. Our hammered, peened, and antique forged textures are applied in-house to coordinate with your chosen style.

5. How much of the construction is hand-forged?
While the main body is precision-cut for alignment, the hinges, handles, vents, rivets, decorative details, and surface textures are all hand-worked by our American blacksmiths. This gives every custom door its distinctive artisan-forged look.

6. What is the lead time for a custom hinged pizza oven door, and where are they made?
Custom hinged doors typically ship within 5–15 business days, depending on size, finish, customization, and current order volume. Every door is made or finished in the USA at our Idaho forge.

ATTENTION: Pizza oven doors with finishes cannot be used at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees. Paint exposed to these high temperatures will burn away, and if you must use this door above the recommended temperature we recommend a raw/unfinished door.

Our warranty only covers doors used within the recommended range; we are not responsible for any damage that occurs  at temperatures higher than 1,200 degrees, regardless of finish color.
