I have used products from Old West Iron for the past 4 years in my woodworking furniture projects. Most recently, I build a dining room side cabinet using lag bolts and washers from Old West Iron to attach a split leg for decorative purposes.

Are these plates purely decorative or can they be used in construction to support a gable end that need renovation?

While these are a decorative piece, they're made to the exact same standards as our other plate washers. We recommend the 1/4" thick washers for heavy applications.

Yes, they all should have the same finish options. If there is a certian finish you need but do not see on any items please let us know and we can fix it.
