These 1/2" diameter Turnbuckle Bodies come in either hammered or smooth texture. They are commonly used between beams, as table base supports, and as awning supports.

What grade or strength on the 1/2 " x 6" black body only turn buckle

The turnbuckles come unmarked. However, having been in the industrial workplace for nearly 30 years, I would confidently compare to A-36 Carbon Steel - Tensile (psi) 50-80k.
It's a solid turnbuckle, and the hammered textured looks great.
