By curling back under the mantle and supporting the weight of the stockings, these holders eliminate the need for installation or nails. Please note: These holders are designed for use with mantles featuring crown or cap mouldings. Straight edge mantles can still use the bottom of the hooks to display stockings, but may not support heavier items as effectively.
