Gothic cathedral iron door knocker is designed after the cathedrals and churches built in Europe between the mid-12th century and the beginning of the 16th century. Gothic architecture is a style in Europe that flourished during the Middle Ages. This design style evolved from Romanesque design and was succeeded by Renaissance design. It originated in the 12th century in northern France and is a style still appreciated today.

What is the center to center mounting hole diameter?

The holes are #8 diameter about 8 1/2" apart left to right and 9" apart top to bottom. There will be variation in the mounting hole distance because these are handmade, so we do not recommend pre-drilling holes for installation until the product arrives.

Hi, I’m wondering what color this door knocker is in the picture? Is it the aged bronze or black? I need one just like the picture shown. Also, I need to know if I’ll need the fastener? I’m not really even sure what the fastener is for, but it’s just going on a regular door. Thank you!

Hello, this picture is showing our finish color of black. Fasteners are screws to mount the knocker onto the door. If you want it just like the image you would want to select yes to fasteners.
