Raw / Unfinished products are as the finish name states, raw /unfinished. This means these items are in a natural state and will oxidize or rust. The iron can range from shiny silver to dark charcoal color, if the products have a hammered texture they can also have some red tones from the forge. Since there is no finish these products can oxidize or rust, they may have metal dust or oil on them as well. Products will rust or oxidize at different speeds depending on the level of moisture they are exposed to. This means that the products may begin to rust before they reach their destination, and some raw / unfinished products will have some areas of rust from being stored at our shop before resale. If you are looking for a shiny silver finish please let us know and we can clean them and apply a clear coat or bees wax to preserve that state (this would be an extra charge).

Gunmetal is an acid finish that stains the metal a blue / dark grey color. This finish color can still have some spots of silver showing through and on hammered items it can have some red in the forged scale. This finish is not suitable for damp or humid environments, for these areas we do recommend a yearly application of beeswax or non yellowing UV resistant clear coat.

Wrought iron patina is an acid finish that stains the metal a black / dark grey color. Our black finish is a flat or matte black, this is our most common finish choosen. This finish is the easiest to touch up and maintain.

Oil rubbed bronze, a durable finish for indoor and outdoor projects. This finish has a dark color that is mostly black with bronze high points.

Pewter, a durable finish for indoor and outdoor projects. This finish has a dark color that is mostly black with silver / pewter high points.

Aged Bronze, a durable finish for indoor and outdoor projects. This finish has a burnish bronze look with metalic bronze color in the low points and is rubbed down to black on the top points creating an aged look.

Rusty Metal, a durable finish for indoor and outdoor projects. This finish is hand painted to look like rusted metal. This is not real rust.

Natural Rust is an acid wash finish that accelerates the rusting process to create a natural rusty finish. This is a living finish and will continue to rust. We add a clear coat to hold the finish, but we reccomend adding a coat of clear non yellowing UV resistant spreay paint yearly to keep the finish.
