Ridge Center Plates
Ridge center plates are the structural and decorative iron plates that support the ridge beams to the king strut in the peak of a truss. These iron brackets are available in all our hammered textures and all our finishes. Fasteners are sold seperately. For structural applications with heavy loads we recommend through bolting with 1/2" diameter or larger fasteners. We do not recommend any of our overhead metal plates be installed with clavos.
Our Ridge Center Plates are available in sizes from 8" x 8" to 24" x 24" and all of our signature textures and finishes. Please reach out to us via office@oldwestiron.com for a quote on custom sizes, styles, and finishes.

I have built numerous historical (replicas) wood project for many years using traditional wood working tools and was always on the lookout for affordable square headed bolts and lags. Old West has them at affordable prices and almost limitless size selections. They are exactly the same as the originals manufactured up to WW ll. So, you deserve a five star review, however I have some constructive criticism and would like to respond please. I think the product was what I needed as previous source ceased production of this particular clovis nail. I prefer purchasing from a U.S. company, especially one in my Northwest region. Thank you. Now, before I purchase again, as I found another supplier in the SE, I AM asking you to improve the product in two areas. First, is the finish, which flacked, right out of the box although it was wrapped in tissue, even just in handling, and in application where I used a small rubber mallet, low impact. I recommend both improved cleaning of the surface of any residual oils AND most important a primer coating. Brand X has not chipped or rusted and some I used on a project several years ago. Yours are now rusting immediately and require touch-up paint. Second, the nail welded on the reverse. I suggest a slightly larger gauge and especially a ring-shank nail. I AM certain that as some of the wood shrinks, (although it is already aged), some of these will fall off. I like your products. Pictures of your product, and project attached. I will need to purchase thirty or forty more. Please respond, Thank you Jerome
