Open Shelving
Every kitchen needs storage, farmhouse style kitchens tend to incorporate open shelving, which can look nice when done right. To implement a farmhouse look rather than a modern look, use thick wood slabs and iron corbels for the shelving. For a traditional, bold farmhouse look, pipe corbels can achieve a pieced together, repurposed style. Alternatively, you could give your kitchen a European twist with some scrolled corbels such as the 324 – Roman Acanthus. Or keep it simple for a modern farmhouse effect with iron corbels such as 301-Tuscan or 309- Bean. To add organization, or just some décor - wicker baskets, unique jars and other storage can help.
