I really liked the Tuscan Villa Iron Washer.
The second project was to better secure a broken side-door widow in my 1928 Tudor-style home. My spouse did not want the “jail bars” of a speak-easy on the window. So, I decided to purchase a wrought iron baluster with a Tuscan “S” to traverse the 15” vertical opening and create a little more deterrent for any opportunist thinking of breaking that window to reach inside and open the door.
I ordered the baluster from StairWarehouse.com. I cut the excess rod and rounded the edges with my DeWalt angle grinder and Craftsman drill sanding head. I drilled ¼” diameter holes through the baluster and then all of the way through our thick wooden door, where I inserted my
